About us

The Green Gift is a nonprofit organization co-founded by Christopher Holden, Dylan Maurel, and Evan Tenorio to address the critical need for supporting graduate students in completing their research. Launched on October 1, 2024, the organization aims to introduce the next generation to STEM while connecting community values with scientific discovery. By awarding five $1,000 research awards annually and participating in local STEM events, The Green Gift helps bridge the gap between education, innovation, and community impact. We believe that by supporting graduate students, we can empower young scholars to develop solutions that improve quality of life and protect the environment. Through partnerships with local organizations like the Huntsville Environmental Coalition and AAMU’s Environmental Science Club, The Green Gift fosters collaboration and inclusion. Rooted in advocacy and a passion for giving back, The Green Gift is building a future where research, opportunity, and community go hand in hand.
