About us
The Green Gift is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization co-founded by Christopher Holden, Dylan Maurel, and Evan Tenorio to address the critical need for supporting graduate students in completing their research. Launched on October 1, 2024, the organization inspires K-12 students to pursue STEM, with a focus on environmental science and conservation, by connecting them to real-world challenges through hands-on experiences and mentorship. By awarding five $1,000 research grants annually to graduate students and participating in local STEM events, The Green Gift bridges the gap between education, innovation, and community impact. We believe that supporting graduate research while engaging younger students helps build a strong pipeline of future scientists and environmental stewards. Through partnerships with local organizations like the Huntsville Environmental Coalition and AAMU’s Environmental Science Club, The Green Gift fosters collaboration, inclusion, and community-driven discovery, building a future where research, opportunity, and environmental responsibility go hand in hand.
