About The Green Gift

The Green Gift, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Huntsville, Alabama, is dedicated to expanding access to Environmental STEM (E-STEM) through programs that link scientific research with community values. Our mission is to foster inclusive innovation and environmental leadership through education, outreach, and research support.

We did it! Our 2026 goals were reached.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, we were able to:

• Award five $1,000 Graduate Research Awards to support emerging researchers,

• Expand hands-on E-STEM programming for K-12 students,

• Continue building community connections through outreach, partnerships, and our annual Graduate Research Award Banquet!

These accomplishments have allowed us to build on our foundation and expand opportunities for students and emerging researchers across North Alabama.

Looking Ahead: Our 2027 Goals

We’re proud of what we accomplished in 2026, but we know there is so much more we can do.

In 2027, we’re working toward:

• Increasing the amount of support we provide to our graduate awardees,

• Expanding hands-on E-STEM outreach to reach more K-12 students,

• Building stronger partnerships that create meaningful STEM and environmental opportunities,

• Growing our reach across Huntsville and beyond.
