The Green Gift’s award banquet, open to the general public, celebrates the very first recipients of the Green Gift Graduate Research Award, an initiative that recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students pursuing advanced degrees in STEM. Along with honoring these exceptional students, the event offers a chance to introduce The Green Gift to the community. Food will be served, and everyone is welcome to join us for this special occasion!
7th Annual HBCU STEM Education Run
We're excited to announce that The Green Gift has been selected as the official Charity Partner for the upcoming HBCU STEM Education Run!
The HBCU STEM Education Run, hosted by HBCU STEMER, brings together fitness, education, and community to help educate, empower, and elevate HBCU STEM students through scholarships and career resources. As a charity partner, we're honored to join this mission and expand opportunities for environmental education and STEM engagement in our community.

Moth Week Celebration
The Huntsville Environmental Coalition is hosting a celebration in honor of Moth Week on Friday, July 24th, 2026; a FREE public event to promote the conservation of pollinators and insects and the habitats on which they depend. We will be showcasing a special documentary titled 'The Extraordinary Caterpillar'. While the event is free, we request you to RSVP as we have food and lots of cool prizes!

The Green Gift Graduate Research Award Application opens
The Green Gift Graduate Research Award is intended to help support graduate students pursuing an advanced degree in a STEM Field. We recognize the pressure pursuing an advanced degree can place on a student and look to alleviate some of that strain. A one-time $1000 award will be granted to applicants based on the merit and impact of their research topic.

The Green Gift Graduate Research Award is intended to help support graduate students pursuing an advanced degree in a STEM Field. We recognize the pressure pursuing an advanced degree can place on a student and look to alleviate some of that strain. A one-time $1000 award will be granted to 5 applicants based on the merit and impact of their research topic.
